Founder's Story
Marybeth, an experienced change and transformation consultant, has over a decade of experience working in diverse project environments. Throughout her career, she has taken on various roles, from Business Partnering and Project Manager to Change Lead. During her assignments on high-profile projects, Marybeth discovered her passion for engaging and leading people through change.
While working as a self-employed consultant and leading change across different organisations, both private and public, Marybeth observed a significant gap in the representation of diverse ethnic backgrounds, particularly in decision-making roles on key programmes that directly impact communities. She noticed that the lack of diverse voices in these critical projects meant that the outcomes often did not fully reflect the needs and realities of the communities they were intended to serve.
This realisation, combined with her understanding that people are the greatest asset of any organisation, fueled her commitment to change management as a vital discipline for successful transformations. Marybeth recognised that for change to be truly effective, it must be inclusive and representative of all stakeholders, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.
Having qualified as a Change Management Practitioner, Marybeth also identified a gap in existing change management courses, which often focused heavily on theory rather than practical, real-life scenarios. She was eager to develop a course that would equip professionals to navigate complex, ambiguous environments with practical change management solutions.
Driven by her passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and her desire to see more underrepresented voices in key decision-making roles, Marybeth founded Change Management Library (CML). Her mission is to help organisations deliver transformations that place people especially those from diverse backgrounds at the centre, ensuring they are ready for change. Additionally, she is committed to creating courses that develop exceptional talent in leading change from within, ensuring organisations are sustainable and prepared to lead inclusive and impactful transformations.
